HN Consultants has worked with the Danish International Development Agency (Danida), the Danish Red Cross, other Red Cross Societies and with Danish NGOs. It has worked with the European Commission in collaboration with HERA Belgium. HN Consultants is a registered company with The World Bank and has carried out an assignment supporting this institution’s Anti-corruption and Governance Programme. Further it has worked with the World Bank in HIV/AIDS programme monitoring, evaluation and institutional analyses.
The company engages in networking with other consulting companies, researchers and individual consultants in Latin America and Africa. Where possible, the company works with local consultants in order to ensure a combination of local knowledge and external views of the development processes. The network of local consultants includes expertise in public administration and good governance, human rights, human sustainable development, democracy, public health policies, environmental /occupational health conditions and decentralisation. Also, networking takes place with other international consultants from England, Canada and United States in order to ensure a continued flow of information regarding “best practices” relevant for the company’s key qualifications.
Each consultancy is seen as a contribution to a development process - more than an isolated (“blue-print”/”technical”) solution for the client and other stakeholders involved. The dialogue with the client regarding specific necessities, accumulated experiences and strategic plans is of great importance in order to ensure that the consultancy “fits in” with the client’s overall plans and its assessment of the general development framework in which the consultancy is carried out.
